Approach

TL-4-2Your present moment experience is very important.  Not that your past does not affect how you are today, but what is happening in this moment, the only moment you truly know is what is of utmost importance.  Tracey’s holistic approach to psychotherapy takes into account the effects of the condition of the mind, body, soul and spirit.  She brings mindfulness to each session holding the space with beginners’ mind in order to meet the client right where they are in the present moment.

“In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, in the expert’s mind there are few”.

Tracey is here to help you find balance and peace in your world.  She offers therapeutic presence which means being willing to be impacted and moved by the client’s experience, while still being grounded and responsive to the client’s needs and experience.

She incorporates Gestalt therapy when it is deemed beneficial.  Gestalt involves present moment “experiments”; trying something out in the therapeutic setting prior to acting it out in your real life.   It offers an opportunity for the client to try on what they have been wanting to say or do but have felt blocked.  This process can allow stuck patterns to shift quickly.  The relationship between the client and the therapist has enormous impact on the outcome.  Tracey believes in the importance of being genuine, present and open in the therapeutic process.  She focuses on who the client is rather than on a diagnostic label.

Time and time again clients have expressed appreciation for Tracey’s compassionate non- judgmental approach to therapy.  Many describe feeling acknowledged, encouraged, supported and affirmed.

“Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.”
